Description
This 3 day-long training is designed for beginners in the field of digital forensics with no prior experience. Students will learn how the phases of the forensics process are related and demonstrate how to handle devices following best practices. The training will provide participants with knowledge of computer architecture, hardware devices and interfaces, storage media organization, file systems, Microsoft Windows operating system artifacts, and forensic methodology.
Recognizing digital evidence and handling it accordingly will be taught, as well as performing a basic review of the evidence in the field, obtaining forensic image files, and becoming comfortable in handling digital evidence using various forensics hardware such as write blockers and forensic workstations. This course will also provide the basics of mobile forensics, from an overview of mobile phone technology through the importance of seizing and handling mobile devices, up to a specific overview of Android and iOS devices
Training includes numerous hands-on exercises.
At the end of the course, all participants will take the exam and after successful completion will be given an official certificate for passing the course.
